Mata Binteris

JD, Assistant Vice President

Mata employs her legal education and experience with Managed Care Partners to advocate for providers.  In addition to evaluating and negotiating payer agreements, Mata researches laws affecting providers and provider networks, seeks to resolve payer-provider reimbursement disputes, and participates in developing and implementing managed care contracting strategies for the firm’s clients.

With Managed Care Partners since 1994, Mata’s other work experience includes the Labor and Employment Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Mata earned her law degree at Chicago-Kent College of Law and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.  She holds a Master of Arts degree from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, also from DePaul.

Rebecca Glen

Director of Clinical and Financial Analytics

Rebecca is Managed Care Partners’ Director of Clinical and Financial Analytics. In that capacity, she models and evaluates hospital and physician reimbursement offers from third party payers, maintains physician and physician-hospital organization databases of contracted payers’ fee schedules, prepares comparative exhibits and analytics for payer offers being messengered to PO and PHO providers, creates and maintains summaries of physician and hospital reimbursement for our clients and audits payers for compliance with contract terms. In addition, Rebecca provides analytical support for our Health and Productivity Program, including evaluating employer claims data for provider organizations to help those organizations identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes while controlling medical costs and improving health benefit plan performance of their own plans as well as those of area employers.

Rebecca graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Computational Science degree. She is fluent in Java, C++, C, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, Python, R and MATLAB. Rebecca utilizes these skills with the applications Visual Studio, MySQL Server, Eclipse, NetBeans, and Vensim.

Carey Kerney

JD, Director, Contracts and Credentialing

Carey’s responsibilities at Managed Care Partners include review, evaluation and negotiation of managed care and delegated credentialing contracts, research on legal matters and keeping the policies and procedures of clients who have been granted delegated credentialing up-to-date. Prior to joining Managed Care Partners in 2015, Carey was an Associate with Pendarvis Law Offices in Beaufort, SC and Jones Day in Washington, DC, where she focused on plaintiff and defense litigation. She now applies her litigation skills of fact-finding, strategizing, communicating, persuading, problem solving and dispute resolution on behalf of our client providers.

Carey is licensed to practice law in South Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She earned her law degree at Catholic University of America and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College.

Jodi McDonald

Assistant Vice President

Jodi utilizes her extensive managed care background to advise and support several complex, multi-provider clients in the Midwest as well as Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Washington.  In this role she identifies provider needs, coordinates the firm’s services and intercedes with payers when problems surface.

Jodi has 20+ years of account management and contracting experience.  Prior to joining Managed Care Partners, Jodi worked for a regional PPO network and served in senior account management positions with insurance carriers as well as a large national pharmacy provider’s managed care department.

Jodi earned her Bachelor Degree in Communications and Public Relations from Illinois State University.

 

Keith R. Leitzen

President

Keith is President and co-owner of Managed Care Partners. In addition to his responsibilities as President, Keith is the leader of our Health & Productivity Program. This initiative is based on the premise that long-term control of health care costs can only be achieved through better health. Consequently, the program begins with a strong primary care-patient connection which is supplemented by assessment of each patient’s and the group’s health, aggressive efforts to improve health, a wide range of tools to enhance member engagement, continuous improvement of the program and provider performance, extensive collection and analysis of data and proactive plan management. With Keith’s assistance in the implementation of the Health & Productivity Program, our client providers have the opportunity to increase revenues and market share by helping employers bend their health care cost curve.

For thirty years prior to joining Managed Care Partners, Keith assisted businesses, public entities and nonprofit organizations control costs and identify and reduce exposure to loss through the application of insurance, self-insurance and risk management techniques.

Keith received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Psychology from Eastern Illinois University.

Janet M. Popp

Account Manager

Janet joined Managed Care Partners after nineteen years with IBM Corporation and IBM Global Financing and successful careers in real estate sales and insurance.  She utilizes her skills in account management, business controls analysis, auditing and quality control to field client queries and requests, coordinate the production, delivery and execution of payer contracts, compile credentialing information and create and maintain corporate records for client physician hospital organizations.

In addition, Janet assists in the creative development of Managed Care Partners’ marketing and presentation materials and is responsible for designing and maintaining our website.

Janet received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature/Communications from Illinois Benedictine College.

 

Pamela A. Radcliffe

Administrative Assistant-Financial Accounting and Analysis

At Managed Care Partners, Pamela assists with the preparation of physician fee schedule summaries and compiles other analytical reports. She is also responsible for preparing financial reports for client physician hospital organizations.

In addition to her client responsibilities, Pamela oversees all administrative functions of Managed Care Partners and directly handles financial matters such as client billing, accounts payable, receivables and banking.

 

James D. Richmond

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Jim is CEO and, with Keith Leitzen, co-owner of Managed Care Partners.  He often finds himself involved in assisting hospitals and physicians devise tactics for dealing with payers, developing and operating managed care organizations and integrated delivery models (e.g., PHOs, ACOs and regional provider networks), evaluation and negotiation of managed care contracts, including those in which providers and payers share risk, and marketing of provider-controlled managed care organizations to third party payers.  In addition, Jim and Managed Care Partners arrange and implement direct contracts between providers and employers and help providers grow market share by assisting employers control health care costs and increase productivity.

Before the formation of Managed Care Partners, Jim served physicians and hospitals throughout the country as an executive in the insurance and managed care divisions of Premier Health Alliance.  His other work experience includes over 20 years with a provider-owned insurer and national and regional insurance brokerage operations.

Jim’s undergraduate degree is from Northwestern University, and his MBA is from Roosevelt University.
